Larva

Certain animals including all bees develop from an egg which then hatches into a larva (larvae is the plural of larva). The larvae then develop into the next stage of growth until the animals become an adult. Bee larvae are developed from eggs laid by the queen and worker bees build a wax cap over the cell about five days after the larvae hatch. The larva which looks a bit like a worm then becomes a pupa which then develops into the adult bee. This whole process takes about 21 days.
