Initially known as Subiaco Oval, this stadium was first used as a
place for football in 1908, so it is over 100 years old.
This stadium
has provided entertainment for many generations of Australians. It
has hosted AFL matches, concerts and was also used in the early days
as a picture theatre.
Today it is the home ground of the West Coast
Eagles. AFL is a popular form of entertainment in Australia and has
been for a very long time. It is Australia's national sport.
The
stadium has been renamed several times since it first opened and has
been developed and upgraded. Today there is a larger seating area
than when it first opened and most seats are undercover. One
similarity is that there is still a standing area.
