Go straight to the updates!

As you may have noticed, web sites are always changing. Even this one!! They may move to different servers, rearrange their layout or disappear off the WWW altogether. There are quite a few changes to web locations so check for the book you are using below. Please continue to enjoy the Cyber School series.

Please note: The Cyber School series is now over seven years old and is no longer in print. Already many changes to the web sites have been made and we will continue to maintain the site changes. Modified or replaced sites are marked with an asterisk (*) on the various pages. You may have already noticed that many web site addresses are different to those that appear in the books, in fact, some books only have a third of their original sites!!

Most address changes are not included on this page as the sites can be accessed though the book index pages. Only dramatic changes such as a replaced web site or missing web site are reported here as well as new sites and connection problems.

Net Research pages 6 and 7 [All Books]
1. Using a Search Engine.
Choose any of the search engines that come up;
Google, Yahoo, Lycos, Infoseek etc. Metacrawler, which has been referred to on many Cyber School pages, is an excellent search engine which searches all other search engines.
2. Local Research using a Search Engine.
The Yahoo site has changed its layout again and many headings are different. The five day forecast is now a bit confusing! Access the Yahoo site by clicking here.
Select News and Media from the main menu at the Yahoo site. Then click on Top Stories (Aus and NZ).
Then select Weather from the main menu and then scroll to locate the name of your nearest city or town into the box on the left and then press search. This should lead you to a five day forecast for your city and gives you the option of clicking on neighbouring cities.
3. Using Net Addresses
The Volcano World site no longer has frames and the address has changed (Again!) So even if you have a revised edition of the Cyber School books it is still different!!. It no longer has starting_points.html added to the end.
Select Volcanoes! from menu on the right.
