Physical Conditions required for Dairy Farming

Physical Conditions

Australia's climate is one of the harshest climates in the world. It is often subject to droughts and soil erosion can present huge problems. Weather conditions play a large part in determining the quality and quantity of agricultural production.

Despite the harsh environment, Australia produces almost all agricultural products. Few countries can match the range of crops and livestock products.

Typically, dairy regions exist in areas of high rainfall so that there is always plenty of grass for the cows to eat, however, dairying can be found across a variety of climates ranging from cool-temperate to semi-tropical.
